This is from USARK. I have been posting their alerts/updates on Facebook and occasionally in groups.. ( ‘Cause it’s not just birds.. but remember these folks love, care about and want to preserve their reptiles, amphibians as much as we do our birds.) This is more of the same that we as bird keepers, breeders have been dealing with. The USFWS plans to list some tortoise species as ‘endangered’ which leads to the exact same problems as we are seeing/will see with exotic birds. Listing these species HERE as endangered does nothing to protect them in their native habitats.
