Tanya Logan: A native of Tennessee, I’ve relocated to SW Florida fairly recently with my husband Mickey. I’m loving it! I have 3 adult children who live in PA, TN, and FL. A pet bird owner for over 30 years, I have a rescue parrot, cockatiels and many finches. My aviary is called Gouldian Gardens.
As a writer, I have published hundreds, maybe thousands of articles online as well as in magazines. I am the author of 5 books – the next one will be my Gouldian Finch Handbook.
I am excited to be a part of the National Finch and Softbill Society and its many facets of breeding, exhibiting, conservation and education. The work of the NFSS is priceless, and being a member allows us to be on the “front lines” of that work.
My hobbies are oil painting , mixed media as well as bead weaving. Many of my art projects include featured birds. My husband and I are members of a local boat club. We both cruise and kayak frequently.
Fun Fact: The first time Rebecca Mikel and I spoke on the phone, there was a brief pause, then she said. “My—you’ve got a southern accent.” I replied, “Yes, I do!”
